On karamba monitor (not very reliable but I can feel the difference) I get 50-100% processor occupation. That said, why it makes a high pitched squealing noise is beyond me. it also makes a different noise when you change resolutions (a hissing noise, kind of like a gas leak!) and when you turn it off, it has a high pitch whine, quite a pure tone, but high pitched. To resolve this, go to your Device Manager, right-click “Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Module” (at least, that’s what it’s called on my machine), and select properties.
